Community Involvement

Southern Maine Motors actively supports various groups, clubs, and non-profit organizations whose efforts help make our community a better place to live and work. 

Facing Maine

 

Founded in 2011, Facing Maine connects, supports, builds awareness, and advocates for individuals, children, and families affected by cleft and craniofacial conditions living in Maine.


Dyer Library Association

 

The Dyer Library and Saco Museum together have served as a single cultural institution serving the  Saco Community since 1976. 


Mary's Walk - March 24, 2019



Mary's Walk began in 1999 as a unique way to recognize and remember Mary Kerry Libby, a much-loved member of the Saco-Biddeford community, who passed away from Burkitt's Lymphoma.



Saco Bay Rotary Duck Pluck - September 30th, 2018

 

All proceeds from the Saco Bay Rotary Duck Pluck will benefit various charities and projects funded through the Rotary Club of Saco Bay. Some examples include the Charlie Snow Scholarship Fund, and the Tom Winston Memorial Tri-City Classic. 


St. Demetrios



Home of the 3-day annual Greek Heritage Festival, which takes place the second weekend in July, and a Greek Bizaar annually in November, St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church is a vibrant member of the Saco cultural scene.


Saco Main Street



Saco Main Street is a non-profit organization dedicated to continually improving our downtown district, attracting new businesses, and creating community events for all to enjoy.


Open Hands Open Heart

 

Open Hands Open Heart is an outreach program located adjacent to the Saco Food Pantry, on Ocean Park Road. It's mission is to provide clothing for needy children in York County.

Scarborough Public Library

 

The Scarborough Public Library is a vibrant community resource, unique in its role as the only common place that offers free educational and enrichment resources for all ages and means. 


Bartlett Bridge Raceway - October 12th, 2018 (Southern Maine Motors Night)

  

Bartlett Bridge Raceway, in Lyman, is "Maine's Fastest Clay Oval" featuring kart racing classes ranging in ages from 5-years old to adult. 



Seeds of Hope

   

Seeds of Hope Neighborhood Center, in Biddeford, collaborates with local communities and neighbors to find meaningful solutions to poverty, isolation, and despair in a welcoming and compassionate environment.



Salvation Army
